Outpatient Pulmonary Rehabilitation

The Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program at Allen Hospital is an individually tailored, multidisciplinary program which is formulated through accurate diagnosis, therapy, emotional support and education. The three primary objectives of pulmonary rehabilitation are:

1) To control, reduce, and alleviate the symptoms and complications of chronic pulmonary disease.

2) To train the individual how to reach the highest possible level of independent function within the limitations of pulmonary disease.

3) To train the individual to self-manage activities of daily living consistent with the disease process.
