Associate Campaign Still Needs Your Help
Thank you to everyone who stopped down to the Allen Café and enjoyed ice cream with us on Wednesday. A special thank you to everyone who filled out their pledge cards that afternoon. We’ve raised over $46,000 so far for the Allen College Building, but we’re not done yet! We still have a few departments to speak with or perhaps you missed your department meeting when Foundation staff visited. We are happy to announce the campaign video is now posted online. It’s a short video that will give you some important information about the Allen College plans. We encourage you to click here if you haven’t had a chance to visit with the Foundation staff yet.
We also had a little fun and put together an A3 explaining the need at Allen College – take a look!
We so appreciate everyone’s participation to date – thank you for believing in the mission of Allen College. Watch for another associate campaign treat day in December!

The Hidden Benefits of MASSAGE from Allen Massage Therapy
A good massage does more than relax your muscles, it also chases away stress and boosts your immune system.
Scientists analyzed blood samples after volunteers had either a 45-minute deep-tissue Swedish massage or a light massage.
The Swedish massage triggered a decrease in the stress hormone cortisol and increased levels of disease-fighting white blood cells.
Those who had the light massage experienced greater increases in a hormone associated with contentment, according to investigators at the Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Make your appointment today with Allen's Massage Therapy Clinic at 235-3557.

JOIN WEIGHT WATCHERS TODAY!
|
No matter what your reason, you can find success with Weight Watchers®
I'm too busy. I just don't have the time. It's too much effort to take on right now.
You've wanted to focus on your weight-loss efforts, but there always seems to
be some reason why you just can't right now.
When you don't have a convenient, easy to follow weight-loss plan, it's very easy to let the "why you can’t" reasons win out over the "why you should" reasons when it comes to making a decision to lose weight.
Weight Watchers knows how important convenience is to the weight-loss process.
That’s why they provide you with support and resources to help you lose weight right in the convenience of your workplace.
After all, you spend a majority of your waking life at work, so just think how great it would be to transform your workplace into a healthy and encouraging environment for your weight-loss goals. Plus, you'll be able to build a network of co-workers to help you in your efforts, cheering you on for every pound lost along the way.
So, what are you waiting for?
If you are interested in joining a Weight Watchers At Work meeting, please contact Sam Otto at ottosk2@ihs.org. Minimum 20 enrollees required to hold Weight Watchers meetings. If minimum is met, meetings will begin.
