Great Place to Work® Pulse Survey - Allen Hospital Your input on how we continue to improve our workplace is very important! That's why we are asking you to participate in this brief Great Place to Work® pulse survey.
We've been focusing on two improvement areas: 1) two-way communication; and 2) appreciation and recognition. From your suggestions, we are working with managers to develop and implement department action plans.
Now is your opportunity to let us know how we're doing in our improvement efforts!
You have from Dec. 3 to 14 to take the brief survey. Your individual responses are completely confidential. Take survey.

Why I give...
I have been an Allen associate for 11 years. My job allows me the privilege of working with volunteers and auxilians who donate their time, talent and funds to help assure our hospital is the very best it can be. This group of people and their caring, giving spirit inspires me to give a donation from each of my paychecks to the Allen Foundation toward the Allen Auxiliary projects.
I am also blessed with good health! Each day at Allen I am reminded of what a blessing this is. Because of my strong, healthy body and the inspiration of the Allen volunteers I am happy to donate to the continuation of AllenCare.

The Potter’s House Players will present Barbara Robinson’s heartwarming story, “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.” The play features the Herdman children, called “the worst kids in the history of the world.” The one place free of Herdmans is church, until the annual Christmas pageant is cast. The Herdman children end up taking over the production, to the dismay of the congregation. But what happens brings a deeper understanding of the real meaning of the Christmas story.
Greg Holt directs the production. The show runs Friday, December 14, and Saturday, December 15, at 7 pm and Sunday, December 16, at 2 pm. It is at the First Congregational Church, 608 W. 4th Street, in Waterloo (near the Grout Museum).
The show is appropriate for all ages and tickets are free. Call 319-234-8927 for more information.
