All clinic patients are accepted based on physician referral. Patients are seen by appointment only and receive intensive monitoring and education.

The clinic uses a laboratory device called Coaguchek-II that allows a finger-stick sample of blood to be obtained, which is then analyzed and results produced within one minute. This allows patients to obtain the results of their test before leaving the clinic. Patients also receive education concerning their diagnosis requiring Coumadin therapy – how the drug works, side effects and dietary information.
