Delagardelle Named President, CEO of Allen Health System Friday, 16 November 2012 Pamela K. Delagardelle has been named president and CEO of Allen Health System, effective January 1, 2013. She will succeed Tom Tibbitts, who will retire December 31, 2012. Delagardelle is an experienced Iowa Health System executive. She is the first woman and the first nurse to lead Allen as president and CEO. She has been CEO of Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center since 2003, an affiliate of Allen Health System. She also serves as clinical adoption executive for the Iowa Health System Epic computerized order entry conversion now in progress. more... Care Initiatives purchased the land from Allen Health System. The new facility will replace the Care Initiatives Parkview Nursing and Rehab Center located at 310 Upland Drive in Waterloo. It is anticipated that all of the current residents of Parkview will move to the new facility. Construction is expected to begin this fall. more... New Inpatient Rehab Department Opens at Allen Thursday, 2 February 2012 Jerry Gehrke planted the putter on the floor and slowly rose from his wheelchair. He took three deliberate steps toward the putting green rug and repeatedly eyed the "hole" at the end of the green. After two practice putts Gehrke made contact with the small white ball and sent it rolling. As the ball nestled into the hole Gehrke raised his head and his arms in silent victory, never once losing his balance. more... |
