Students cheer as balloons drop from the ceiling of the Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center (GBPAC) in Cedar Falls in celebration of the 250,000 children who have attended performances through the Allen Hospital Kaleidoscope Series for Youth program.

Teachers and principals bring classes and even entire grade levels of students by the busload for every Kaleidoscope performance, often selling out shows. Performances are presented by traveling professional troupes that specialize in children’s theater.

Allen has been the sole corporate sponsor of Kaleidoscope since GBPAC opened in 2000. Allen’s support helps GBPAC offer reduced, “A Buck a Kid!” admission to the shows.

“Our Gallagher-Bluedorn sponsorship helps build the community,” says Rick Seidler, Allen Hospital president and CEO. “We want kids throughout the Cedar Valley to discover the world beyond their homes and schools. Quality of life matters to everyone, and this program helps kids discover the world around them and their own possibilities.”
